OpenOrders on Textbroker are paid by a fixed rate per word. The rate is set by the client's chosen quality rate. If you are a level 4 author and you choose a level 2 assignment, you will be paid the level 2 rate. The total earnings for each assignment are shown in the order detail page so that you know exactly what you'll be paid. Please see the chart below for price rates.

DirectOrder: The price set by the author 1

A DirectOrder is received by one author exclusively, for example, because of good work done previously on OpenOrders. An expressive and attractive author profile can assist the client when searching for authors to work with exclusively. The price per word is set by the author – independent of the quality level – at least 1.5 cent per word (plus 30% commission for Textbroker).

TeamOrder: Payment according to the Team conditions 1

The TeamOrder can be written by an author who is familiar with the topic or subject matter and who would be happy to work on a Textproject on this topic, possibly on a long term basis. Public Team: The author sees the Team in his list and can decide, depending upon the client's application requirements, whether he would like to write in this Team or submit an application. Private Team: The client selects authors for his Team (for example via the author search). The client sets the price per word, with a minimum price of 1.37 cent.

Set Your Own Rate
There is a way to set your own prices as well. Our DirectOrder system allows you to set a price for clients who want to skip the OpenOrder system and send articles directly to your inbox. You won't have to search for articles, or worry about whether someone else will get to them first, and you can charge the price you want. The minimum price for DirectOrders starts at 0.015 EUR per word, or 1.50 EUR for 100 words. Please note Textbroker will add a 30% commission to all DirectOrders, which will be included in client's final price.

Payoffs
You are paid for your articles immediately upon acceptance by the client. The funds go to your Textbroker account. You can request a payoff to your PayPal or bank account once a week, as long as your Textbroker balance is greater than 10 EUR. Payoff requests made by the Thursday of the week will be processed on the Friday. Missed payoff deadlines will roll over to the following pay week. There are no fees for being an author with Textbroker. We take on the small transaction fee that PayPal charges.

Please note that, as an independent contractor, you are responsible for any and all income taxes required on freelance income. Textbroker does not withhold income tax from your earnings.
