From 0 to 100 in 7 years

At the offices in the Rhineland-Palatinatal Mainz and in Las Vegas as well as New York, they see to that, on a daily basis, 100,000 text orders are successfully mediated and rated every month. Jan Becker-Fochler founded the company in 2005, having noticed that a qualified network of authors was not only needed for his own web projects.

At the offices in the Rhineland-Palatinatal Mainz and in Las Vegas as well as New York, they see to that, on a daily basis, 100,000 text orders are successfully mediated and rated every month. Jan Becker-Fochler founded the company in 2005, having noticed that a qualified network of authors was not only needed for his own web projects.

Thus, the founder of Textbroker hired the first employees for the editing of texts and, in 2007, created the now well-known online marketplace, where his authors also received orders from other clients. The team grew rapidly. Colleagues for author and client services, for accountancy, human resources, the evolution of the website as well as a very own editorial staff, followed suit. Also, even more editors are providing quality assurance, which has always been the fundamental service offered by Textbroker.

From Mainz into the World

The evolution of the company was going so well that Jan Becker-Fochler travelled to the USA in 2009 and opened up the branches in Las Vegas and New York, both of which have since managed textbroker.com . In 2010, he won over the investors ViewPoint Capital Partners and, in lieu of his business plan, expanded the range of language platforms with respective native speakers: textbroker.fr, textbroker.co.uk, textbroker.nl, textbroker.es and, launching in November 2012, textbroker.it and textbroker.co.br.

In the meantime, the company in Mainz grew and took on more employees for the German and European distribution, product and project management, client and author services, finances and software development. Together with the US colleagues, there are more than 100 employees, engaging themselves to always deliver the appropriate text in seven different languages, to 60,000 clients, in over 130 countries. “Thanks to all who have accompanied and supported us”, says a very pleased Jan Becker-Fochler. “Without you I would be sitting alone in my office today and would only be able to dream of such successes.”
