International orders for Q4 2015 showed that users and search engines alike preferred high-quality texts that treated a subject at an appropriate length.
Customers in 9 of 10 countries ordered predominantly from the 4-star level, showing a demand for higher quality everywhere.
In almost all markets, copy was ordered with a minimum length of 400 words. Only the United Kingdom fell below this benchmark, with an average length of 397 words. The longest articles were ordered in Poland, with an average length of more than 700 words.
The most popular types of copy in Q4 were website copy, blog articles and product descriptions.
French Textbroker customers ordered category descriptions particularly frequently, providing users with an overview of the general product groups, like sofas or armchairs.
In Germany, clients mainly ordered general website copy, product descriptions and technical articles.
In the US, they ordered website copy, alongside blog articles on topics such as business, law and travel.
The most popular subject categories in the 4th quarter were product descriptions, travel and health. Copy on topics such jobs, business and shopping were also at a premium with clients in the final quarter.
